MRpro Knee Brace
MRpro began for the need of a knee protection to off-road motorcycle
competitions. In 1985, there was a Suzuki RM125 1979 by alcohol
which demanded an aggressive piloting, and its rider had no
experience with special motorcycles.
An American knee brace called Omni was bought, but it was heavy,
very big and it could be improved. At the request of friends,
some parts were made based on Omni knee brace, but the project
was quit at the end of 1985.
The company began from the very first beginning, having several
hints from Doctor Marco Martin Amatuzzi, orthopedics professor
in Medicine School of São Paulo at São Paulo University
(USP). He pointed out some points to concentrate and, from these
points, MRpro developed a system with double articulation that
allows the natural motion of the tibia over the femur and then,
MRPro kept improving its product, always being supported by
doctors and experienced riders.
In December, 1986, MRpro started producing the articulate knee
braces commercially. Many riders contributed with suggestions
based on their sensations and experiences and this helped us
make the knee braces lighter, more effective, comfortable, compact
and enduring. Among these riders are Milton “Chumbinho” Becker,
Rogério Nogueira, Jorge Negretti, Eduardo Saçaki,
Bê Magalhães, Filé Veredas, Guto Lima, Guilherme
Boing and Osmar Ferreira.
Partnership
From 1998, MRPro associated with Circuit Sportive Equipments
Ltd. and the company started producing knee braces under this
trade mark. Circuit, besides helping with its international
market experience to the knee braces subtle improving, it also
began showing them in big international markets, such as Two
wheels fair in São Paulo and Intermot in Munich and Milan.
The articulate knee braces Circuit produced by MRPro have already
been selling in Portugal, Greece, Italy, Costa Rica and other
countries.
In July, 2001, there was a change in the produced lines. The
Circuit line went on being produced with the new model RC-7,
with refined completion that conquered the European market and
the MRpro line, with the models Enduro and Replica.
Replica was developed jointly with Doctor Luiz C.S. Mendonça,
(CRM – Brazilian Medicine Register 4716) who works to Joinville
Orthopedics and Traumathology Institute and with Miltom “Chumbinho”
Becker, who is several times Brazilian motocross champion.
In 2002, the company ended its partnership with Circuit and
from that year on started producing only the models Neoprene,
Enduro, RC-7 and Replica under the MRpro knee brace trade mark.
Since 2003 is imported the MRpro Knieorthesen to Europe.
At the "two-wheeler fair" in Zurich, newest models
"Enduro" could be presented in spring already 2003.
Owing to the tests of Brigitte Hediger, Swiss schweizer-Meisterin
2000 in the Supermotard, prominent Motocross female pilot (SM
2003) and Enduro Spezialistin, together with Swiss inter+ Enduro
team, could flow some fine modifications into current production.
For this reason the large success of the knee supports was
into Offroad training Kamps of the Dany Wirz no surprise, however
a beautiful confirmation of the be worth-worth work, for an
optimized knee protection with confort. Since that time many
instructors protect there knees with our brace.
The model "Advantage" was 2004 the newest development
of MRpro. This Model fits under most leather combinations and
is therefore also with the Supermotard drivers much likes.
The advancement of the model differs not only in the lower
range of the support, where the connection was optimized to
the knee protection, but also in the general compactness. In
co-operation with the university of Sao Paulo/Brasil and their
engineers an astonishing strength check of the MRpro knee Orthesen
was furnished.
The model ORTHOtech developed to a large extent in Switzerland
was since summer 2004 in intensive tests . As every other renewal
must also the new toothed quadrant joints for the high requirements
of our quality control stood to hold.
MRpro the model "ORTHOtech " launches 2005 . The
tests were successful. The still slimmer toothsegmentrails increases
the protection of the cross volumes substantially.
